This is a timeless and elegant piece from Chanel, a bias stitched flap bag that features the iconic CC turn-lock closure and chain strap in 24k gold hardware.
Condition: The bag age is approximately 35 years, it's in pre-owned vintage condition with visible signs of wear. The exterior shows light scuffing and marks, some minor rubbing on the edges and corners.
There is a leather hole on the exterior leather, see 7th photo.
Chain strap is in good condition - the leather still retains it's black leather soft feeling, there is some slight leather fraying and the chain is still gold.
CC logo at front is in great gold condition and is not heavily scratched.
The shape of the bag is also in good condition, it holds upright well and doesn't have any major creasing or bends. There is some leather wrinkling on the backside.
The interior has the most noticeable wear. The interior sides of the leather has started to crack. It's still useable and when I run my finger against it I don't get any leather flaking off. It is possible to have the leather painted over to seal it but it's not a true fix (consulted with Leather Surgeons). There is also a section above the 'Chanel' logo where the leather is worn too and has some very initial signs of cracking.
Other than this, the interior is clean. There is no other signs of rips or tears on the back. The pockets are clean - no stickiness or peeling.
